screen time - what do you do?

just bought dds 3&6 Amazon kids tablets. wondering how to approach regulating their screen time.

at the moment they only really watch tv we limit to an hour or so. maybe a bit longer at the weekend.

I wouldn't buy a tablet for a three year old or probably a six year old.

If I did, I'd limit it to an hour on Sat and Sun, put it away during the week.

I'd relax those rules if I really needed an electronic babysitter though....if I wasn't well/long journey/long wait in a doctor's waiting room etc.

I'd just keep it for when it was absolutely essential.
