Hi all
I thought to come on here because we seem to be on our last legs here. This is likely because I am crazy tired with a newborn and toddler but coming on here anyway!
My DD1 is 2.5 and I cannot remember the last time this girl was well! She goes to nursery 2 days a week and naturally picks up colds etc however her cough is our current war. I have been to the doctor's atleast 10 times in the last 2 months because it's just an awful hacking cough. When she gets a cold we get all of the normal stuff with it runny nose which leads to post nasal drip equaling a cough. However the majority of the time that nose dries up pretty quickly and we are left with this hacking cough all day and all night.
The doctor has now given us the brown inhaler along with her blue one and both don't really do anything. We are reviewing the brown one for a month so will see with that.
She has had a lung X ray and that was normal so thankfully nothing sinister there. I've done the usual, honey and lemon, Calpol, humidifiers everywhere, vapor rub on feet with socks.. on chest etc. I think I permanently have the Nose Freida in my hand these days - but no change. I called the GP again and she is eating fine, no wheezing and is " her normal self mostly" so nothing they can offer.
I think it's starting to bug me more than her the poor dear... Worst thing is she'll likely improve go to nursery and be back with something else.
Sigh.
Anyone got any tips or experience?!
Thanks x
