Anyone with kids with ADHD?

My partners kids 9 and 4 show a lot of the symptoms of ADHD. We're looking to get them referred to a specialist to see if they can give a diagnosis. Well the eldest at least, the youngest is too young as of yet. Just wondered in the mean time if there's anything I can do to help them. The youngest is very emotional, messy, cries a lot over little things, can't focus on tasks, gets distracted easily, doesn't listen when we talk to him, struggles with very easy tasks, will change the way he feels about certain foods, clothes and games everyday so one day he likes something the next he doesn't. The oldest is very stroppy, very loud always shouting at us and the youngest, slams doors, constantly lies, steals food and money, is messy, does things he knows are bad, bullies the youngest etc and he's also been using his iPad to look at a lot of dark stuff like horror movie trailers and is obsessed with killer clowns. I have removed access to this kind of content now. Any thoughts/ideas?

Have the school said anything about his behaviour whilst at school?

You and the school will both be given a connors test which will go back to the Dr and comapred to see which traits add up.

DD has ADHD she is easily distracted, has cognitive disfuction, talks very loud and fast. Finds following directions hard.

Her behaviour is much of a problem has a few arguments in school which she will hold a grudge too for alot longer than her siblings.

ADHD Foundation
ADHDwise
Chadd

Off the top of my head...the first suggestion has lots of resources.

I've spoke to the school and the GP and they've said the youngest is too young to be diagnose as of yet but they do see traits in him at school like lack of concentration, not being able to do simple instructions and he's very behind in his school work. They didn't say much about the eldest so I'll have to ask again.
