Leaving baby overnight for the first time

Hi everybody, just looking for some reassurance here. My baby boy is 7 months old and he's spent every day and night since he was born with me. However, today we left him with grandparents for a few hours but after a few hours I was ready to go get him because I missed him so much. Anyway, me and his dad are going to Liverpool next week for one night and he's staying overnight with my parents. The mom guilt has already kicked in and I'm just worried he'll think we've left him or something and if he doesn't sleep. What's everybody else's experiences like? Xxx

When I left my baby with my parents - admittedly a bit younger, 4 months - she slept better for them than for me! Expect to miss them. Also if the baby does wake up at night usually, decide if you want to receive messages. I spent my first night away lying awake terrified something bad had happened (which of course it hadn’t) and maybe w message saying “just done the 3am feed” would have helped me.

My LG (11 months) stays over at her grandparents quite a bit and did from a young age
Both my mum and MIL love having her over
There has never been an issue and my LO has always been happy and would follow her routine as normal
First few times for me was weird and I didnt really sleep to well and struggled to switch off from light sleeping mum mode but thankfully don’t have that issue now
