Terrified mumma... please give advice?

I’m a single mother to a 2 year old boy, he is my absolute world, and I am his. He is the most joyous little delight to be around.

However, i’m extremely scared. Because I’ve got symptoms of breast cancer and I have a doctors appointment on Thursday. Had the appointment for two weeks but now it’s fast approaching I am terrified. Of what they’ll say. Of the worst scenario. Of my little boy having to go through the worst scenario.

I really need any mums that have gone through anything similar to please give me advice, feeling broken 😢

I’m so sorry. I don’t know what your symptoms are but I had a lump. It was nothing. As are most lumps. (I have several!!) It is always worth having them checked out. You’re doing the right thing. Good luck OP. Do you have support in RL? Will anyone go with you? I went alone as I wanted to.

I have an inverted nipple on and off, which I didn’t actually think anything of, but it was the aches and pains that made me put two and two together and call the doc. I’ve told my mum about it as she’s currently undergoing BC treatment, she wants to go but it depends on whether she finishes her treatment on time on the day.

Is your mother’s breast cancer the type that can be past on? Most is not.

I had similar symptoms after my Mum had BC and it was fine, all clear. In retrospect although I had fatty lumps my symptoms were psychologically due to stress and a hyposensentivity to the situation.

I was told pain generally means not cancer. Of course you should get it checked. I’m sorry about your mum OP.
