Anyone else dairy intolerant after children?

I started becoming a little dairy intolerant with a previous pregnancy that didn’t go to term. So I couldn’t have bowls of cereal with a latte but I could have chocolate, yogurt and cheese fine.

Fast forward 6 years and during weaning of ebf second child who had severe eczema for first 5 months (so much so she always had blood and scratches on her face), I realised she was dairy intolerant when she had reaction to yogurt. I cut out dairy from my diet and her eczema completely disappeared! She was suddenly a happy baby who I could take a nice photo of all of a sudden.

She self weaned at a year. After 7 months of no dairy, including a Christmas without any cheese or choc or pastry or any hidden dairy, I was really looking forward to milk chocolate. The week I stopped breastfeeding I didn’t go nuts but had a little chocolate at work. Had such a severely uncomfortable bloated stomach and pains and couldn’t do my work properly.

Over the week I tried to have a little dairy here and there but I’ve had to go back to being completely dairy free again. Basically I’m now vegan food with a bit of eggs and meat only again. I’m so sad about that but the pain is just not worth it.

Has this happened to anyone else? Did you ever recover?

Mine isn't since children. I had CMPA asa child, then had dairy as an adult and then it came back.

I'm totally DF, like you and I feel so much better.

Is your DD DF too?

Yes she is still Dairy free. She’s on a ladder.

She’s on a ladder. I'm hoping it's the milk ladder and you haven't got her cleaning the upstairs windows OP? Grin
