Fulltime working parents. Everyone ill

What do other working parents do when they have a house full of sick people?! I had to take a day off this week to look after my son who had the flu over the weekend. Then by Thursday I had caught the same thing. Now my 3yo has come home from the childminders with a fever, having slept all day. I won't be able to send her in Monday. But I can't take anymore time off either. My husband was off the previous week with the same thing too. We feel like crap parents and crap employees right now. What do other people do in this situation? My family don't live close by and dh family both still work fulltime. I will add I'm only 4 weeks into a new job too so I look like the biggest piss taker ever this week.

Given that you're only 4 weeks in, I think your DH will need to sort this one.

We take it in turns. But if one of us is in a new job , the other person looks after DS most of the time until the other passes probation

Can you ask your family to come and stay for a few days?

We take it in turns/ work around what is essential. We both make sure our employers know that we take it in turns & one job isn’t taking all the slack.

Hate the “is your work day more important than my work day” conversation....

No advice. Just have to muddle through and work for employers that understand.
