How long does this last for, is it just the terrible twos?
We are being consistent in punishments, ie naughty step, getting down to his level and telling him not to do xyz etc but really not getting anywhere.
Any other discipline tips for 2.5 year old, or just ride it out?

They can seem absolutely demented and drive you demented too. Emergency measures imo are to do whatever you can to distract/tickle/take outside so your head doesn't explode. Lots of affection and positive praise etc (till you sound even more demented "Oh that's soooooo wonderful, my clever boy!" gush Ignoring the minor annoying stuff if you can.
And breathe deeply. It does pass - or reaches a different level

I ignore small stuff, but he's turning into a danger to himself and everyone else!
