just got my 1st pocket nappy to test and it seems such a shame to put it to be washed when not dirty - is it really gross to just take out the filling bit and reuse the nappy a few times the same day? or just give it a bit of a rinse in water to reuse the next?

No I don't think it's skanky. Ds's wee can smell pretty strong (I may be using too much poweder actually) so I probably wouldn't get away with it, but wee isn't actually dirty as such is it? As long as your dc is dry and comfortable then it makes sense. I probably reuse wraps longer than most (usually get a day's use out of one unless poo gets on it).

I guess if you have a liner too that would be OK. But if you're going to do that, why not just use a 2-part system?
