Took our dd to the zoo. That was it. Family bought her presents etc, but we didn't even do a cake.

We had a few close family members around for a birthday tea. At one it's more for you and family really.

In the day DH was at work so my DSister and I took him to Blue Planet.

had a picnic and let dd have a try at eating a cup cake (she didn't like it).

I had a large glass of wine and a bubble bath to celebrate surviving a year of parenthood.
Oh, and we also took LO to the beach and had a bday picnic,

Faster · 02/03/2019 20:19

We went to a pottery painting cafe and made a birthday cake plate

We had a few friends from a baby group round for a couple of hours. The babies 'played' with some toys and the parents had a glass of fizz and a piece of cake.

@Faster oh I love that idea 💡 xx

We had a barbecue in the garden with family and close friends. The kids played in the pool and bouncy castle, we played music and the adults raised a few glasses.

DH took the day off, we went for a walk in the countryside and had lunch out. It was more for us than the baby.

We had a family and friends (with all their little ones +anti natal and NCT friends) for a very relaxed garden party / picnic. Lots of soft toys / rugs / blowing bubbles etc. Weather was on our side and we had a brilliant afternoon.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 03/03/2019 20:34

Had a bbq party at home with friends and family- (also bought tickets to London zoo but it was so
hot round her bday i didn’t think I could take her on the tube- they last a year so we have to
use those in the spring )

@Ricekrispie22 😂 love it. We bought ds a tiny cake and let him blow out the candle with our help. Had his favourite cousin over and his nan. That was it. His nan took him out for ice cream. He had some cake too.

Teddy bears picnic in the garden.

Shelbybear · 03/03/2019 22:42

We had a wee birthday party for her at the house. I put on a buffet and we had birthday cake obv.

Close family and all her cousins there they all had a great time. Was quite manic though and the place was a riot once everyone left. It was a Sunday and I so wished after that I had booked the Monday off work!

Had close family round for a little tea party
