Newborn throwing up

Hi. I’m just looking for some advice/reassurance. My newborn baby is sometimes sick during/just after feeds but a few times now she has been sick like an hour or so after her feed, like tonight she finished her feed at 1.30am, brought up the normal little bits whilst burping but has just been sick about two shot glasses full at 2.45am. It’s happened twice now and makes me anxious to put her back down to sleep in the night after her feed incase she does it whilst I’m asleep 😱 has this happened to anyone else?

My dd used to vomit huge amounts randomly with reflux - she never seemed in pain with it and was what the doctor called ‘a happy puker’.

I was always worried she’d choke on it but she never did - she always turned her head so I’d often find her in a puddle but not harmed.

That puts my mind at ease a lot. Thankyou! She has been suffering with trapped wind a lot lately and sometimes it seems to come up on an air bubble, maybe she has reflux. Thankyou for your reply. It’s a horrible feeling when you put them down and your worrying isn’t it 🙈

Another one with a happy puker here. Often quite startling amounts when he was newborn but his weight gain is steady and the doctor wasn't at all concerned after the health visitor scared the crap out of me. We just bought a lot of muslins and burped him thoroughly but with extreme caution

The first time my daughter puked a lot, I cried, I found it so unsettling! And still hate it every time now, bless her. She has only actually projectile vomited like 4/5 times but the last few times it’s happened when I’ve settled her and laid her down. Eases my mind to know this isn’t really anything to worry about 😊 I lay out about 4 muslins every feed 😂 Wind her for a good half hour too.
