DS is 2, where do I go from here??

Today DS did a wee in his potty three times!

I've offered him his potty occasionaly and he suddenly took me up on the offer today. I notice though that he strains to wee in the potty and only a little bit comes out, so he's not 'holding it' and then emptying his bladder. He's just squeezing out some wee when he sits on his potty.

So where do I go from here? I thought 2 years 1 month would be too early but when he asked for his potty I thought I would see what he would do on it. Should I persevere and get serious about potty training or just keep it casual? We had a little chat about keeping his nappy dry and putting all his wee in the potty but that's a lot for a little boy to understand at this age I think.

Thanks for your advice!

Ive just started (well a couple of weeks ago)potty training with my DD now 23 months. She was similar and saw one of her slightly older friends using the potty and wanted a try. She still hasnt masterd knickers but can pull them up and down but will use her potty or the tiolet with maybe one accident a daty. Im trying to be really relaxed about it. For example tommorow we are out for lunch so im going to put pull ups on , really for me so i can have a relaxing lunch!
Id just suck it and see how it goes? A litl boy at nursery was dry at 16 months so it is possible

you probably have not got much to lose by giving it a go (unless you've got expensive brand new carpet and only 2 pairs of pants). I think you'll soon know whether it is too soon but if you dont try, you'll just never know if he might have cracked it this early. Just dont put too much pressure on your DS or yourself as 25 months is quite early, especially for a boy.

If you can bear it, try him in pants and see what happens. It's difficult for them to tell if they've weed in a nappy.
