Hey fellow mummies,
My little boy is 11 months old and I was wondering the best way to wean him from formula to full fat cows milk for when he is 1? Best tips and any advice would be fab. Thank you all in advance Smile

I mixed a bit of cow's in with the formula. Then a bit more. Then a bit more. Until it was all cow's milk.

I just swapped it over straight away and had no problems whatsoever, I don’t think DS noticed either

Did a mix over a week or so, dropping formula each time and upping cows milk until it was fully cows milk. No issues swapping over.

Hope you don't mind me jumping into this thread OP to ask if people still warm up the cow's milk?

YouBoggleMyMind · 20/02/2019 21:06

Yes I warm it up, DS doesn't really like it straight from the fridge. I just stick it in the microwave for 30-40 secs.

I tried mixing it up but DS was having none of it, so I just gave him full fat milk and refused to give him the formula. It took him one day of being fussy, then he carried on as normal. I do still warm it up for him (he's now 2). He tends not to drink much if I give it him cold.

Just swapped straight over. Yes to warming it up a bit.
