8 week vaccinations

Hello
I just wondered if anyone had taken their little one for their 8 week jabs?

I took my 8 week old girl this morning. She has been fine all day but since half 4 she's screamed on and off. She wouldn't take a bottle and wouldn't settle at all.

I have given her calpol like the nurse suggested. She doesn't have a fever either.

Just wondered if anyone else has been in the same situation? I've asked friends and they've said their babies were fine and they just had a fever.

I've just managed to get her to take a bottle and she's snoozing in my arms so fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

When mine had hers she was grouchy from early evening and then all night and in to the next day. I gave her the 3 doses of calpol as they suggest and she never got a fever. She was just clingy and whiny for a day and half. The bump on her leg lasted until the next set though!

Ds had a fever and then screamed non stop from around 4pm onwards. I remember it vividly. He’s 17 months now. But still remember the first round of jabs. I learned why they call it “grizzly” like the big ass bear!!

Thank you for replying. They just mentioned a fever and nothing else. She seemed to be fine for a few hours so it took me by surprise! She's settled at the moment, my arm has gone dead but as long as she's happy it's worth it!

Mine was fuzzy for a full week. It was awful. He cried all day on and off and slept terrible.

Sounds totally normal to me. Your baby feels poorly and wants cuddling and comforting. Your it’s mum, so if baby is inconsolable or you’re worried see a doctor

Thanks all, she seems to have settled down now 😊
