My DD is going to turn 2 next month. She has always been firey in temperament but has taken it to the next level now. She nips, scratches, smacks and bites if she doesn't want to do something or has been told no. Apparently this is a normal thing, but I am struggling massively sometime I feel like I am losing control and even though I don't agree with smacking, I don't know what else to do with her!!!
We have a naughty corner but it doesn't phase her, she has the ability to completely shut us out when we are speaking to her.
Does anyone have any advice how to discipline her so she understands. I feel like I am failing massively Blush

It's a difficult age op and I really don't think there is a way to discipline a two year old as such. I found distraction worked best with my 'spirited' dd. Choose your battles, there are some non negotiable things such as teeth brushing but I let some things go, clothes were a big one for us- dd is 3.5 now and still wears pretty much whatever she wants.

What InDubiousBattle said.
You can't 'discipline' an under 2 yr old.
You can firmly say 'no' and then distract, distract, distract.
