Universal credit

Hello!
So I made a claim to universal credits a couple of weeks ago and am currently waiting for my first payment,I went to an interview last week and got told this should be on the 18th of March.

My question is I thought when you’re waiting for your claim for universal credit to come through your other benefits stop but I got paid my child tax credits today.

Can Anyone help?:)

Are you sure you mean child tax credits? Do you not mean child benefits?

If you are talking about the £80 you get every 4 weeks, thay is child benefits. Which you would get as well as universal credit.

If not, I'm not sure and can't help.

Oh I thought UC had stopped roll out :/. Otherwise it takes 6 we weeks yiun can ask for an advanced payment up to full payment. I won't recommended talking full but what you need to love on
