Teething through the night

Hi, my 11mo DD has been having the worst PST few days with her back teeth coming through! It is the worst during the night so we are not getting much sleep, I give calpol, ibrufen and I have tried the teething granules but nothing seems to calm her down and her temperature goes sky high. It is so stressful but so uncomfortable for her is there anything I can do? I have tried the doctors and they tell me just to keep giving calpol but I have been giving calpol now for 3-4 weeks surely that's not normal!? TIA xx

Are you sure there isn't an underlying ear infection - often worse at night when they lie down? how high is sky high?.

I took her to the doctors and it is in fact an ear infection. She now has antibiotics. She is such a wee soul. She hasn't long started nursery and hasn't been 100% since! Thanks
