Janè Matrix Reuse

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this question so I may post it in a couple of places. We had a Janè Matrix travel system for ds and loved it; we were gutted to find that they no longer do the Twone or we would have used that as a double buggy. Anyway, I'm just wondering about the lie-down car seat as a carrycot aspect; is it safe to reuse this with the second baby as long as it's not been in an accident? I'm thinking on the basis of safe sleeping. Don't think you can replace the mattress so are we safe to just wash the parts we can and reuse? We have also lent it to a friend but it was only used for the odd long car journey rather than as a regular carry cot or car seat option.
We are trying to avoid buying a double buggy if possible but can only do that if the Janè is still useable for dc2.
Thanks!
