My 6 month old sort of sleeps through with a dream feed bit. Still a bit up and down. My 3 year old is a good sleeper 7-7. I wana put them in together so they are used to it from now really. Any experience or advice? ThankyouX

No experience. If it was me I'd just try it, what have you got to lose?

How confident are you that the 3yo won’t cover the baby’s face or chuck a toy in the cot?

No way would I leave a baby unsupervised with a 3 year old.

That's about the ages we put ours together, worked very well. Didn't separate them until youngest was about 5 and the mismatch between his bedtime and older sister's was as much an issue as his need to wake up early in the morning!

3 year old is nearly 3 and half and i leave tyen together without me in the room alot. I woukd obviously say leave him alone but I have no worries there. Maybe I will put travel cot in and try. 3 year old likes the idea

My DCs 3 and 1 have shared since the youngest was 10 months. I live in a city where flats are small and it's pretty common for siblings to share. The baby's cot has very high sides so the 3 year old can't access her very easily.

Seline · 14/02/2019 07:23

I wouldn't. My three year old loves his siblings but he is too heavy handed to be with them alone.
