Hi,
Ive been a lurker on these boards for a while, and have found them really interesting.
This board in paticular is really interesting to me as ive just recently started working for the suffolk real nappy network. So its great to see what you all think of cloth.. i for one am converted.
Anyway, i just wanted to let you all know that we have a shop in ipswich town center and offer free impartial advice, trial kits with lots of differnt nappies in, tea, coffe brestfeeding area etc.... and we stock loads of nappies, wraps and other accessories, its really great to be able to feel and see the nappies as opposed to just buying them online.
we are run by volunteers and are a not for profit organisation, so im not a troll and not trying to sell you anything. Just thought id let you know about the shop in case you wanted to pop in!

thanks!

we are on museum street, just round the corner from monsoon. you should see the sign!

it would be great to see some people in the shop, we are doing really well, but if we dont start getting some local support we will have to close in november. Thats really sad as originally we were started by four mums using cloth nappies who were frustrated about the lack of info out there.

we are open mon to sat 9am till 5pm. we are sooo child friendly and have lots of toys and sofas etc... baby changing facilities, and sooo many nappies and wraps, and we have just got in these new bamboo terries, which are a soft as silk! if you pop in you have to have a feel!!!! lol!!!!

also we are 100% green as a company, everything is recycled, all furniture is donated or from freecycle etc.... we dont use chemicals on anthing, etc......

hope you dont think im being really cheeky posting this, but seeing as it is a cloth nappy board i couldnt resist!

you've got 2 more people interested by posting it so i'd say it was worthwhile

well thats exacally why the company was started, its so hard to get good advice, and sometimes its a bit overwhelming. as i said we are run by volunteers everyone a cloth nappy user, and years and years of nappy experience. If you want ( a service we offer) they can help you find the perfect nappy for your ds, they will find the right one to match your lifestyle with you sons shape, weight etc........

we also do the trial kits, which you can hire out so you can try a variety of nappies before you committ to buying them. they are really popular.

i work in the back office, so dont worry about me being there... probably wont even see me!! lol!

oooh can you tell me more about the hire packs?

Is there a website at all?

Whats the price range like? Any idea?

pesto1 · 04/07/2007 18:22

ok, we have trial kits for
0-3 months
3-6 months
6+
then a potty training kit, and are thinking about having a bedwetters kit too.. but thats all at the thought stage.

You can hire the kit for 1 to 4 weeks, its £30 to hire it for a month.

you get slightly different in the different age kit, but if you were looking t the 3-6 kit there is ( if i remember right!!)
geobel ( now bambineo and i think soon to be called bambinex?)
one life or motherease
sandys
fluffle
terries
several boosters
3 or 4 different wraps
liners
nappy nippa
all in a nappy bucket with a mesh bag and you get a little user guide too. i think there are a few more nappies than that but cant think.....
we have a lot more than that in the shop, but we have tried to put the most easy user friendly ones in there. they are also the best sellers, so they must be good!

you should pop in, im sure one of our staff would be able to help you.
