Hi, I have a 4 year old girl who is deaf. We didn't find out until she was 2 that she was due to health visitors and drs ignorance!! She has very poor speech poor balance. Falls constantly. One fall resulted in a broken foot 😢. Her behaviour is uncontrollable on times she lashes out hits bites head buts things. She only dose this at home. In school she's shy and plays alone. Is there anyway I can help her come out of her shell at school? I have asked teachers but they don't seem bothered by it. Is there any parents out there with little deaf children who could suggest anything to help her and me xx

Oh how hard for her and you. Does she have any SALT input? How deaf is she? My daughter is also deaf but is only 8 months.

I really recommend the NDCS - they have lots of resources.

I find it worrying her school aren't concerned.
