Tonight my 4 year old got up and wee’d on a bag in the hallway. Two days ago she got up and wee’d on the floor near the corner of her bedroom. About 3 months ago she came downstairs, walked past her dad, stopped in front of her table, pulled down her pants and went to sit on the table, by which point I had run over and whisked her onto the toilet in time. All of these events have happened whilst she’s asleep and she has no memory of them in the morning. She’s used to getting up and going to loo so this is new. I’m worried by the closeness of the last two nights, plus her dad has form in that area (used to sleepwalk to various places like cupboards and wee in lego boxes etc when he was a kid) so I think it’s inherited!
We have cat so I’m also worried he’s going to think it’s a territory thing and add his scent! His smells way worse!
Tonight she smuggled in a drink so I think that is probably to blame as we’ve suddenly become quite good in getting her to wee before bed! I can’t find much on google beyond wetting the bed, but has anyone else experienced this? I can’t mitigate by putting waterproofs down as it could be anywhere! Have considered adding a motion sensor to alert us better if she gets up, but we might end up strangling the cat if he decides to go for a wander in the middle of night!
I don’t think she’s unduly stressed by anything. She’s used to her 2 year brother by now, we’re happily married and she hasn’t said anything is wrong at nursery.
Um, so help?!
It’s so far been within 3 hours of her going to bed.
