Just because we all love them so much - what's your favourite cloth nappy and why?

I used Terry's and Nature Babies wraps with dd1 and I absolutely loved them! £100 for 2 1/2 years worth of nappies! What a bargain!

However, for some reason with dd2 I decided Terry's were a bit bulky (probably just an excuse to buy new ones), so I ordered a BumGenius (gorgeous but slow to dry), a Nature Babies Diddy Diaper (cute, but had to pin like the Terry's) and an Ella's House hemp nappy (absolutely perfect)!

A whole bag of Ella's House nappies arrived today and I'm so excited about using them I just had to tell you...anyone who'll listen!! I've washed them 3 times, then I hung them on the clothes horse in the conservatory for a few hours (inside, due to the rain). The whole time I fiddled my thumbs, and when I wasn't doing that I was checking them to see if they'd miraculously dried, then I gave in and put them in the tumble drier (in July - Bad girl)! THEY'RE DRY AND READY... and baby's in bed. Damn. I won't be able to sleep tonight - I'm just too excited!!

LOL! Enjoy your new nappies I´m new to the whole cloth nappy thing but have already tried out a few. Current favourite are my pistachio bambineo but I´m being lured in the direction of pockets now...I´m SO unfaithful

I got a puddlepants nappy & couche cover from her & had the cover embroidered with a rose to match the flowery pattern on the nappy for my dd christening. Just so beautiful, dh just shock his head, but that's my fav most beautiful nappy. Bamboozle & wool wrap is my fav everyday nappy.
Never tried an Ella's house. Maybe will have to give it a go.

no-one ever buys the pistachio bambenio and i dont understand why as to me its the nicest colour bambenio do - its lovely! I am a pocket addict - theres no denying it - the new fuzzi prints i love but im into my bumgenius still.

Having tried A LOT of the pockets on the market my current fave is actually Happy Heinys, have gone off my Wonderoos (which I used to love and fitted DS perfectly, but not anymore).

The bumgenius is great for absorbtion I think but not too keen on the look of it

waiting for some swaddlebees so who knows maybe new faves soon???

nappyzone · 03/07/2007 22:06

oooo Heinys - yey!

tutu100 · 03/07/2007 22:26

mamawhyte where did you get your ella's house from? I was thinking of trying them. They must be one of the few brands that I haven't tried yet.

Stuffies are my favourites, and it's s shame they're quite hard to get hold of. They're so funky and colourful, and such a good fit. I have purple ones with sheep, pink and yellow ones with hearts, white ones with polka dots, blue and red ones with cows.... I just love to show them off to anyone who'll pay the slightest bit of attention.

Can't say I like pocket nappies, they leak on dd and I only use them for nursery cos I have to. Give me a good 2-part system any day!! The nursery actually have come to prefer shaped nappies too so we'll be replacing dd's pockets with shaped nappies when she grows out of them (if she's not potty trained first).

I had a turbulent few months when DD1 was younger so I went back to disposables for a bit (needs must) then DD2 was born and I had 2 in nappies and no tumble drier in Scotland so I parted company with all my nappies. Some were only used once or twice. I so so so regret this decision I wish I had them right now v . My faves were my pink tots bots. Fuzzi Bunz were lovely but leaked on DD1 who is the heaviest wetter ever. Even potty trained she pees more than any toddler I know.

DP would kill me if I bought more nappies

mamawhyte · 04/07/2007 06:44

Glad to see I'm not the only mad one! I think I might have to have a look at the Heinys online!

I got my Ella's House from kittykins.co.uk. They always send them really quickly and they're always really great to buy from. I used to use twinkleontheweb.co.uk, but then they didn't answer my email, so I'm staying with kittykins.

I'm off to look. DP is away for a few days so if they arrive quick I can pretend we've had them ages.

Flamesparrow · 04/07/2007 07:50

Soooo many for soooo many different reasons.

I love the look of the flame weenotions, the shape and reliability of the bambineo, the slimness and drying of the quick flip light, the littleness of the swaddlebees aio, and the easiness of the fuzzis!

maveta · 04/07/2007 07:53

Did someone say Happy Heinys?? maveta siddles off to look for some

I MUST stop buying nappies. At this rate I am going to have a collection of 20 DIFFERENT nappies What ever happened to brand loyalty? (must have passed me by..)

Pistachio bambineos are gorgeous, I think the name puts a lot of people off. I would never have chosen them except I saw a lot of people on here saying they were beautiful so decided to see.. and they are!

LazyLine · 04/07/2007 07:53

Fluffle!

They are not the ones that I actually mainly use, but I bought one to try ages ago and it has remained soft and fluffy and it dries really quick.
