Baby painful pooh & wind

Hi everyone, I've posted in here previously about my daughter having a suspected cows milk allergy and you were all super helpful. I just had another question and was wondering if anyone could all help.

My LO has mucus loose stools and belly ache and the dr said I should cut out all cows milk protein. It's been 4 weeks since I have done so now. The pooh has improved in the fact that it's no longer mucusy, it is still explosive but is more the fact she is in real pain when passing, and I don't think it can be constipation as she had at least 8 dirty nappies a day. She is also in pain when passing wind and will let out big loud trumps.

When I went back to the dr they gave me gaviscon, but I haven't given it to her because although she is sick a little after lost feeds or if we put her down too quickly, it doesn't seem to bother her at all.

She is exclusively breast fed and was 5 weeks premature. I wonder if the anyone has come across the painful poohs and what it could be? Last night she was peircing screaming in pain just after we settled her off and it's so uncomfortable for her.

Thanks xx

There are some good allergy Facebook groups. It maybe that it is dairy and something else or it maybe that it is taking a while for the dairy to leave both your systems.

Babies do have to learn to poo and it looks like they are in pain.
