35 minute naps!!

Any advice would be great! I have a six month old little girl who absolutely cannot nap any longer than 35 minutes, in her cot, pram, car anywhere. She wakes up exactly 35 minutes after she falls asleep. She can self soothe, doesn’t have a dummy and we keep white noise on for her. She’s not hungry or cold and I know she’s still tired when she wakes up. She also wakes up 35 minutes after going to bed but she’s can be settled a bit easier then. Normally she will also wake around 4am which I’ve read is a sign of over tiredness but I don’t know what else i can do about her day time sleep. Any help would be great

I had this with mine. He only napped for longer as he got to about 9-10 months.

I’m afraid I’m no help but my 5 month old is exactly the same. 30 / 35 mins. Doesn’t matter what we do. It’s so frustrating....!! Watching with interesting!! Hoping my daughter will grow out of it soon...!

My 6 month old is the same, 30 min naps and wakes 4-8 times a night.

I'm afraid I think it just takes time.
We had just the same, 30 mins on the nose, you could set your watch by when she fell asleep that it would be 30 mins precisely until she woke up 😂 also didn't matter in cot, car, pram etc.
I didn't find a solution, she's now 7 months and seems to have just grown into longer naps and had an epic 2 hour one this morning and is currently asleep again now.
All the stuff we use is the same as when she went through that short nap phase: dark room or covered in the pram, white noise, grobag etc.
The only other thing I think helped was when she was able to roll both ways, she now always rolls onto her tummy to sleep and the sleep lasts a lot longer. So once your dc discovers the joys of tummy sleeping and can roll themselves, might be a turning point?
Hope it comes soon!!! Over tired babies are no joke xx

Oh at the same time her night sleep improved massively, wakes once a night now, or if I've done a dream feed at 10 or 11pm, sleeps right through to 7am. Again, she almost always wants to lie on her front x

Does she want up crying or happy? I just leave mine if they wake up too early and they aren't upset. They often go off again, sometimes after 5 mins, sometimes up to 20 mins!

30 min naps, which is the length of a sleep cycle, are pretty common. And really annoying! DD1 and 2 were just the same, you could set your watch by them! Apparently they learn to link sleep cycles from around 6 months onwards so hopefully you’ll get lucky soon!

Thanks for everyone’s replies. She must have read my post yesterday, we’re so far on an hour and 20 minute nap 👍🏼 Let’s hope it lasts!
