Washing machine obsession

Hello MNetters,

My almost 3 year old is obsessed (and I mean obsessed!) with washing machines. He talks about them all day and dreams of them at night. A trip to Curry's is the best day ever to him and he know every single brand by sight

He is undergoing assessment for autism at the moment and we are happy to let him enjoy his washing machines for now, but I am struggling to come up with ideas for games/toys based around them. We have a couple of washing machine books and a toy washer, but I guess I'm just wondering if a) other people have gone through this and b) if anyone can recommend any other toys and activities based around washing machines.

Is there a nearby laundrette you can take a trip to? That might be fun to see multiple of them in action!

ask a local plumber to take him (with you, of course) on a day out in his van, H&S allowing, naturally? Just a thought. Or contact a washing machine factory and ask for a back-stage tour?

Celebelly we did go to a laundrette last week but the owner was making it obvious we were getting in the way (I did wash a duvet as cover ). I might try another one though, thank you.
