Aveeno? You can buy olive oil for skin too. I wouldn't use the lotion

Jackshouse · 04/02/2019 11:09

Get some organic vegetable oil from the food section of a supermarket.

Jackshouse · 04/02/2019 11:09

Olive oil thins skin so it’s nolonger recommended for babies.

You can get a prescription for aqueous cream from the GP.

dementedpixie · 04/02/2019 11:12

Aqueous cream shouldn't be used as a moisturiser. It can be used as a soap substitute but not left on the skin. Aveeno do baby moisturisers

Amy326 · 04/02/2019 11:17

Try the baby Aveeno range or Child’s Farm. One of my kids has eczema and the other has dry skin on and off and Johnson’s irritates both of them quite a lot!

needsleepzzz · 04/02/2019 11:18

I'm finding child's farm really good, my daughter has eczema and it's really helping the dry patches and relieves her itching

And Johnson's was awful for her, it went very red and angry looking

Spam88 · 04/02/2019 11:53

Johnson's stuff is shit. Aveeno is what the GP recommended for us.

Bananarama12 · 05/02/2019 11:52

We use the sleepy lotion from Lush. Does nothing for his sleep but very good for his dry skin.

Lara53 · 05/02/2019 15:48

Coconut oil may help. Please stop using the Johnson and Johnson products. They are horrible. Also another vote for Aveemo. I used this lots with my babies who both had dry skin

Hiphopopotamous · 05/02/2019 16:04

You can bulk buy aveeno much cheaper at Costco if you have membership or a friend does. Works well for my DCs eczema.
As with PPs, avoid J&J.

Lana1234 · 05/02/2019 20:00

Child’s farm definitely, cleared up my one year olds dry skin in a matter of days. Or aveeno is good as pp have said. I’m sure both are on offer at boots atm too.

ItsClemFandangoCanYouHearMe · 05/02/2019 20:06

Use something like Aveeno. They do a baby eczema cream and another it's an oaty one? Very good for dry skin.

Notmorewashing · 05/02/2019 20:07

Aveeno or cetraben with euricin applied over the top don’t use any cosmetic brands or scented stuff.

NuffingChora · 05/02/2019 20:09

Aveeno, but buy the normal one, not the children’s one, which is really heavily perfumed for some god forsaken reason,

KirstieandPhil · 05/02/2019 20:10

Whilst I like Aveeno and it initially worked well for my Dd (it no longer does and now has severe eczema) , I thought I'd mention that Aveeno is owned by Johnson and Johnson.....
