My 6 week old for as long as i can remember now has been fussy through feeds. Not all the time (not really through the night) but alot of the time she seems very uncomfortable whilst drinking (is bottle fed). I've changed her milk once to sma hypoallergenic from sma organic but it only got slightly better. I've been GP multipul times and spoke to HV about it, both not much help. I have been told maybe reflux however shes happy to lay down flat. she does spit up but shes not much of a cry baby more of a moaner/fusser. I thought maybe wind, but it will even happen when shes farting away. she also seems very uncomfortable pooing yet is not constipated as she goes 3/4 times a day and its like a paste texture.
My concern is shes only taking 2onz. when im sure she should be on atleast 4? however she is putting on weight. Birth weight was 6lb6 and shes now 9lb.
She just really doesnt seem comfortable. I've tried gaviscon but she refuses to drink with it. She also gets particularly fussy in the evening time which sometimes i think is overtiredness as she avoids sleeping in the day at all cost if she can and gets very unsettled. (could this all be related?)
i was thinking a possible lactose intolerance? (lots of my family have it) But shes never really sick. Only spit ups (dribble out of mouth mainly)
Has anyone had this? any advice please? is it normal for her to be uncomfortable during feeds and during pooing?
