Maintenance question

Scotchlass1981 · 01/02/2019 21:12

Looking for advice my ex partner has to pay maintenance and like every non resident parent they get £5 deducted off the the amount for every overnight stay they have the child . But what if they are meant to have the child 2 nights every fortnight but the child is being sent to another family member 1 of the nights everytime on contact . So his sister has the child half the contact time the Child Maintenance think he does . Would they still deduct the £5 even though it's not the father who has the child . I wondered if anyone knew tia

Pretty sure that will still class as two nights unless it's a contact that you have arranged with her yourself.

He's allowed to sort childcare however he wants on his contact time, its still classed as his contact time.

If you don' have you child, why do you want the extra £5?

You don't need to double check, "his" time is up to him. CMS see it more as time that you don't have the kids rather than time that he has to have them in his care.
