Washing sleepyhead

Apologies if this has already been asked but our 3 week old has just peed through his sleepsuit/through the muslin and onto the sleepyhead.

Should we wash the cover or can we wipe it down? If we wipe it down, what should we do that with?

Also, if we wash, should we wash the foam too?

Just wondering what others do! I’m worried if we wash the cover we won’t be able to get it back on 😬 thank you!

I washed the cover a few times on a fairly cool wash and managed to get it back on. It does take a while to dry though. I never had to wash the foam so not sure on that one - I think you can wash the edge part but should only wipe down the base bit, but I'm not sure. Do you still have the instructions? I'm sure it's on there.

Hi @Frlrlrubert - thanks for the response! Sadly I threw the instructions away but will see if I can do a quick google.

I think it might be time we changed nappy brands as the leaks have happened a few times with the Aldi nappies!

The cover is designed to be washed - just chuck it in the machine. The foam bit has a water resistant cover so shouldn’t need washing.

I've taken the cover off and washed it and it's fairly easy to get back on (I do normally get someone to help me though Grin).
Never washed the foam part but I'd just wipe it with baby wipes or a damp flannel if the wee has soaked through.
Also, the cover does take a while to dry so be prepared to not have it tonight. Maybe leave it to dry in the sun with a window open.

I wash the cover weekly on a 40 degrees wash, just don't tumble dry it. I'm pretty sure the foam shouldn't be washed - just aired every so often.
