What could this rash be?

A prickly rash appeared on my DS (1yo) legs overnight, it’s got worse throughout the day and now is on his knees, bum, willy area and behind his knees.

I can’t think what it could be - It faded under a glass however. He’s had a cold for around 5 days but I’m pretty sure that’s unconnected.

He doesn’t seem in any pain or particularly bothered by it.

Impetigo maybe? I know it's usually on the face but can be elsewhere.

Maybe hand, foot and mouth.

One or two of those spots look as if they're infected? Also, possibly some sort allergic reaction - food, different laundry products?

HFM?

Thanks everyone - he's the same this morning with a few appearing on his face too so DH is taking him to the doctor.

We did wonder HFM but he doesn't have them on his hands, feet or mouth!

Good getting him checked by GP. Come back and let us know what GP thinks?

stiltonontoast · 29/01/2019 12:54

So GP seems to think its some kind of virus related rash - quite possibly hand foot and mouth but hard to say - DH says some new spots have appeared on palm of DS's hands so think thats it.

Poor boy!

Thank you for the update - hope he gets better soon (and you & daddy don't contract it!) Smile
