Prep Machine Problems - Hissing sound

Anyone else have issues with a hissing sound on a prep machine?

I ordered a new prep machine last week after my old one broke, but the new one started making a hissing sound after running a cleaning cycle.

I phoned tommee tippee and they told me that it’s a known issue, however it should not affect the preparation of feeds, but they did advise that it’s best to get a replacement ordered.

So, the replacement has come and guess what? The same issue has occurred :-(

So not sure what to do now. I have to send one of them back as I don’t want to be charged twice but do I try for third time lucky or just put up with it? And does anyone else have the same issue?

I have had this exact problem. I exchanged a faulty one (that didn’t hiss, the thermal fuse had gone) and the 1st replacement hissed so I exchanged again and this ones hissing. They’ve said I can swap it again but I’m guessing it’s a faulty batch. Is your black? The guy I spoke to wasn’t very easy to understand and was just giving scripted answers. I’ve contacted them through the form on their website to see if that gives any answers.

Yeah mine are black! He’s said if I ordered a white one I might not have the same problem, the original one I had was white and did not do this!
