Who knew?

It's telling that it's mothers not parents. I'm lucky thatDP does his fair share but the flip side is both our jobs are pretty full on and long hours.

I'm starting to wonder what's the point.

I agree that stressed as a working mum but I would be more stressed if my family did not have my income.Confused

So I'm sure if this survey is looking at the full picture.

Have to read the full study, but longitudinal surveys tend to be good quality as they are bloody expensive! Loads of people get lost to followup etc.

Take away point that flexitime doesnt reduce stress as much as reducing working hours is a good one to bear in mind.

The cynic in me would say that public sector/flexi time roles are predominately done by women, and with the austerity agenda means these are not low stress coasting roles! Need to look at how they sampled.

And in other news the pope is Catholic.

Honestly I don't know a single working mother who doesn't permanently look exhausted and like they've got the weight of the world in their shoulders. I'm lucky that dp pulls his weight but there's certain things only I do (the minefield that is balancing our shifts, childcare and other commitments is all on me) and it feels too much sometimes.
