I am curious to know how many pairs of shoes and jackets your children possess :)?

My 6yr old has 3 pairs of trainers and 2 waterproof jackets. Her trainers last a year or two but I try and change jacket each year, preferably at the start of winter.

4 year old: 1 thick Boden padded jacket for nursery (bought in sale at bargain price), 1 Gap padded jacket for home wear (bought at 40% off), 1 joules jacket for summer, 1 Boden light showerproof jacket for nursery in summer (again a sale purchase), Jo Jo Maman bebe rubber raincoat (bought with 50% discount).

Shoes: Gruffalo slippers, Adidas trainers, converse shoes (bought half price at airport), 1 pair of Startrite nursery shoes, and 1 pair of Clarks boots for home and 1 pair of wellies.

Do you ladies tend to go for branded trainers such as Nike etc and brands of jacket such as Regatta, Helly Hansen or Trespass or are they too dear?

Regarding trainers, we just go for anything basic, not branded trainers and jackets, I tend to buy Trespass or buy online from Go Outdoors site?

Anything really. I get most of his trainers on AliExpress for £7-£8 each. They're lovely for the price. Since they're in them for only a couple of weeks only. I always get lots of compliments on them too.

The boys coats are Matalan and M&S this year, raincoats are Peter Storm and H&M. The Peter Storm one was £3 off eBay.

The running shoes are Nike, everything else is just highstreet brands and Clarks.

Tbh most of the time one pair of shoes, one pair of trainers and a pair of wellies is about as far as I get before they go up a size again...
it's relentless

My DS (12) has two pairs of trainers, rugby boots, football boots, school shoes and Wellies. He’s growing so quick that since September he’s had to have it all replaced twice as he went up a full size each time!
They’re not even worn out ( apart from the school shoes which he actually grew out the front of from one week to the next)
My DD (14) has school shoes, three pairs of trainers, wellies, pair of nice boots ( she doesn’t wear) and walking boots. She’s been the same size for two years now so can have better shoes - we’ve found dr marten school shoes which last instead of £50 a term school shoes with no grip on the base.
