5 month old still has no schedule

Just wondering if anyone is the same? I’ve tried to put her down and the same times for naps, feed at the same times but it just doesn’t work. Some times she can stay up for 2 hours sometimes only an hour...sometimes wakes up at 6 or 7 which throws the day off depending on what time she gets up. She’s Breastfed and also doesn’t seem to have much of a schedule to that either.

I feel it’s effecting her sleep at night (it’s awful!) but I just don’t know how to fix it. Or if I just need to go along with it? Most babies seem to have a schedule by now: but she’s also only has 30 min naps so has quite a few a day!?

Just struggling with putting together any sort of structure..she sleeps when she wants to sleep. There doesn’t seem to be any set times!

I honestly wouldn't worry about it. I do find (from listening to friends) that BF babies do tend to have a much looser, if at all, routine compared to FF. I feed my 5 month old on demand and sometimes extra. Nap times and lengths vary every day. I go by him. The ONLY thing I keep consistent and have done for months now is his bedtime time and routine but everything else is dictated by him. I really wouldn't worry, I am sure routine will come in time :)

My little one is nearly six months and it’s only the last couple of weeks that we have had anything that slightly resembles a routine. Her bottles, naps and bedtime have all been at the same time for around 3 weeks now. I worried about a routine for so long and I wish I hadn’t now!

The only thing I try and get on a schedule is bedtime so they have all the sleep cues (low light, music, massage etc) and know when it’s time for bed and start winding down. Everything that happens during the day is total hit and miss! (Second baby btw). Sometimes sleeps for 2 hours sometimes for 30 mins... Anyone’s guess. Don’t worry about it. x

My twins didn’t develop a schedule until about 8 months when they just naturally settled into one.

I wouldn’t worry; at around 6-7 months my DD naturally developed a bit of a nap routine but she only developed a food routine once on solids and formula.
As she slept well (back then anyway) I was happy to follow her lead
