Going on holiday with 3 year old and 3 month old?

We have a 3 year old son, who has a speech delay and some sensory issues, and we have another boy due this April.

We're really considering going on holiday abroad in July sometime (Portugal/Majorca), but I'm just a bit worried the baby will be a bit too young to go away? We took our first boy on holiday at 7 months and he was absolutely fine, but with the added stress of a 3 year old with additional needs we worry it might be a bit difficult.

Just wondering if anyone has ever took a toddler and baby on holiday and if it was ok?

I took DS1 and DS2 to Spain when they were about 5 months and 2 years (went for a wedding). I would not say it was hell but it was not really relaxing. Just general stress - getting through customs, buggy, sorting out the hotel room, keeping two children entertained on a flight etc.

It was hard work with DS1 who was out of his comfortable zone and acted up a bit. The baby was actually alright though!

Tbh past couple of years we have stayed in the UK, just far less stress. Youngest is 4 now so we are going abroad this summer, much easier - no bloody buggies involved and both children can sleep in beds.

Watching with interest!

We took DD1 to Portugal at 4 months and Canada & USA at 6 months and she was an absolute breeze. DD2 is due in 6 weeks and I'd like to go abroad in the summer (short-haul) but DD1 will be around 15/16 months and I think it might be a struggle with her now as she doesn't really like sitting still.
