What can the problem be?

My 8 year old daughter has experience pain in the genital and rectal area off and on over the past 12-18 months. She’s had antibiotics a few times and also had a scan of her kidneys. The scan results didn’t show anything. But again she’s crying in pain, doesn’t look well and doesn’t want to walk as she says it is too painful.

Has anyone else’s daughter experienced this? What could is it be. Are there any other tests I should be asking the doctor for her?

Lovely36. They have tested her urine sample. Nothing showing, but antibiotics were given as a precaution. They haven’t check her appendix, it didn’t even cross my mind

A good friend of mines son who at the time was about 8 had a bad bad pain for day on his Lowe abdomen. They didn't know what was causing it so they kept trying different remedies. Eventually the pain became so severe he began screaming in pain one night so they rushed him to the ER. Once in the er the said his appendix was about to burst. Went into surgery within minutes. Idk how they figured this out then and there?! But if they hadn't made it in time he would've died. It really scared me and it's something I've always kept in mind when people say they've got pains near that area.

Have they checked for signs of abuse OP? For rectal and vaginal pain in a child that's the first think I'd be asking about!

Hoping you go to the docs tomorrow to ask about this mystery tablet + the possibility of your daughter being hurt.

Have you asked her anything about if anyone's hurting her? Is she left alone with any men regularly (including her father as messed up as that is).

Good luck, poor thing.SadThanks

@cinemalover didn't even think of that but you're completely right have a talk with her OP, it's crazy to think but it doesn't hurt to ask.
