2 year sleep regression - any tips?

DS (nearly 2) has been a great sleeper until now (reliably 7-7 since he was about 7/8 months). In the last month he has started waking up in the night and shouting until someone comes in. We (either DH or I) go in, change his nappy, give him a quick cuddle and then try to settle him back in his cot. It never works as he shouts the moment we leave the room so he ends up in bed with us, which is not ideal since he's a bit of a wriggler. It has coincided with a massive leap in his speech so I'm fairly certain it's a developmental thing, but DH and I are exhausted (I'm also 6 weeks pregnant so doubly exhausted). Has anyone been through this and found anything that works?

No idea what to do but in the same boat, wakes in the night shouting for me and won't settle until he's in our bed, then won't stop wriggling. I've bought a gro clock yesterday and going to try it tonight 🤷🏻‍♀️ placemarking for advice also!

Interested to hear how the gro-clock goes. I'd decided it wasn't for us as it's not early morning waking, but generally somewhere between 1-3am. Hope it works for you!

He's not generally an early morning waker either, but thought maybe if he wakes in the the night and sees the stars still on, he will know it's still bedtime? Who knows Grin
