I will be going back full time in 2 months when my daughter is 7 months. Feeling awful. Guilty about leaving her. Don’t want to (need the money and I can’t go part time in my job) But I feel once a new routine is established and we’ve both got into the swing of things it will be ok! And I’m holding onto the fact she’ll love nursery and time with the grandparents...I think it’ll just take some getting used to x

Me! Looking for a new job but if I don’t find anything I’ll be back at the old one I suppose (they’ve rejected my part time request)
I’ve been off since early 2017 (2 back to back mat leaves) but I am dreading leaving the dc and I have no brain these days so no idea how I’ll manage work

I'm back in about 7 weeks. Hate it but needs must. My husband will be taking her to and collecting her from nursery so I'll be seeing much less of herZ makes me so sad. I'm hoping for a lottery win.

I’m dreading the rushing about of nursery drop offs. And dc2 is a total Velcro baby. Starting nursery this month to try and ease him into by the time I have to go back. If I had my way I’d stay at home with them but looks like it’d be too tight

I started back a few months ago after a year off. Yes it's hard but it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. My biggest worry was that it would affect our bond but it honestly hasn't! We are as close as we ever were and I love how happy and excited he is to see me when I get home. Nursery has been good for him as well, he's become very confident and they do a lot of messy play so I don't feel guilty if we just stay indoors when I have him. I find my time with him is more precious because I work so I think I appreciate it more than when I was on MAT leave. Good luck hope it goes well x

I’m kind of excited to go back and use different bits of my brain and character! But I will hate only seeing him to get him up and put him to bed - on two days he’ll be in nursery 8-6. He’ll love it and it will give him valuable experiences, but I’ll muss seeing him do things and exploring new things with him.
