Hi my two week old is perfect during the day. Then as we get to 9pm the time between feeds shortens. He cries for food. Sucks his hand and sways his head. Takes two sucks of bottle and then refuses it, cries then wants it again. I persevere and we get over it by 1am. I thought this might be colic as a friends baby did similar things. He’s on colief. He also tends to take an ounce sleep and then wake just as bottle runs out of life and I have to make more food up. I’m getting a bit frustrated as I struggle to sleep when he is sleeping then find myself desperate for sleep while tending to the baby. He almost looks like the milk or the teet is hurting his mouth sometimes

This sounds pretty normal TBH. Mine all got super cranky around that time. Eventually they just worked it out themselves (not much consolation in the short term I'm afraid!). DD3 is now 5 weeks and still has evenings doing exactly as you describe. She's BF, and gets really cross - she whacks her head against my boob and has a good old shout, then looks like she's settling and feeding nicely before doing it all again. Once they're a month old you can try Gripe Water. It's weird stuff. I think I've read that there's no actual medical reason why it works - all anecdotal. But it definitely works for us!
With DS1 we actually found that he wanted to be left alone a bit more at that time of night. I kept desperately trying to settle and console him but happened to put him down in a dark room one evening (I'd run out of energy for anything else!) and he settled down. Didn't hold for my others but anything is worth a try!
