Growth spurt

Is 6 weeks a growth spurt? My son keeps crying, eating and not sleeping all in a continuous cycle... it's driving me nuts and I have mastitis on top of it all!

If it started recently, then it’s probably a growth spurtSmile

Have you got someone to bring you drinks and snacks? Growth spurts are usually a good chance to catch up with your favourite tv show.

Are you getting any help with the mastitis?

He slept ok like 2 nights ago and last night and today he's been non stop feeding, crying really loud and not sleeping. Been in bed surrounded by drugs and water lol. Tried feeding little one lying down and dropping breast towards him because the lump seems to be underneath the breast. I just checked my temp and think my fever reached its peak and gone back down so hoping that's ok now. But like how long does this spurt last? I wasn't sure if they have one now but this has been the worst one if it is! He just screams and falls asleep in my arms, then you put him down and within 10 minutes he's back awake looking fed and it's whole cycle again...

No temperature. He's fine just constantly feeding and not really sleeping too much again. He has his settled moments where he is smiling and cooing at us then kicks off. Think my mastitis is clearing up but I swear my milk supply has dipped because of it. He doesn't seem to like the affected breast but it does seem to be clearing up.

I’m sure your milk supply will be fine but it might be worth ringing one of the BFing Helplines to see if they have any tips to get Yiu through this sticky patch Smile

Have you got the Helpline Numbers?
