After school ideas

Hi there

So I'm normally a working mum who has her boys in childcare after school but I'm on mat leave now, expecting my 3rd. What do you do everyday after school that a baby can tag along with? I don't want them in clubs every day of the week or sat watching telly every night. Love to know what you do to generate some ideas. Thanks.

Come home, have a snack, do homework then either go outside to play or play around the house, help cook dinner and then it’s dinner time. When the weather is nicer, we go to the playground or take a walk. Mostly though it’s homework and I chuck her out into the garden til dinner time.

This time of year the day goes very quickly! Once the evenings get brighter we go to playgrounds / parks in the afternoon.
Dd finishes at 1.30pm. 2.30 pm three days a week when she has activities after school.
She has a play date one day after school and we have one in our house once a week.
At home, it's homework, bit of a play and generally a quick 20 minute scooter ride with baby in buggy.
Not much time for anything else!
Once the evenings are longer, we will go to the park about 4pm for an hour

Park, woodland walk, beach walk, softplay, friend/relative visit. Cafe for hot choc/ice cream.
