Bedtime routine with a 5 month old and a 7 year old help please

So my little lady is 5 months old in just under a week and due to very difficult personal/family circumstances I've not been able to establish a night time routine for her.

At the moment, we co-sleep and she goes from around 9/10pm till I have to wake her up for the school run at 7am or on weekends she might wake up at 5am for a bottle then sleep till 9am.

I want to try and get her into a bedtime routine and also into her own cot but there's a few things holding me back. I'm scared of interrupting her sleeping through the night which she's been doing since 8 weeks old. I'm not sure what time to start her bed time routine and what time I should aim to have her in her cot by. Lastly, how do I work her bedtime routine and my 7 year olds at the same time? They will be sharing a room due to lack of space so I'm a bit in a tizz.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

I'd personally be loathe to do anything that disrupts sleeping through. (I'm v jealous) does she join the bedtime routine for the 7 year old. That's where I'd start, just as a signal/cue that bedtime is starting. But the rest for now I'd keep the same If you can?

That's my exact worry! I just see so many other mums with bedtime routines and stuff and it makes me think I should be doing the same. That's a good idea actually, normally she plays in her bouncer while I sort the eldest for bed so I guess if I do them both at the same time it would be better

Babies' sleep isn't linear. A lot go through periods of waking at night, and then not.
I'd probably aim to get 7yo in bed with lights out by 7.30. That should then give you enough time to bath and feed your 5mo for bed at 8.30, hopefully by which time your 7yo will be asleep and so you can tiptoe into their bedroom to put 5mo in cot.

I generally get my 7 year old to have a bath first with baby (obvs supervised) then after they relax (baby in high chair) and I get dinner ready for 7 year old and whilst they're eating it , I put my 8 month old to bed , then put the 7 year old to bed. In your shoes I'd start transitioning to a cot but keep the cot in your room first. Then once baby has mastered sleeping in the cot change the location to 7 year olds room. Or you could put 7 year old to bed first and start babies night time routine at 830? Seeing as she sleeps from 9pm anyway.
