Baby face rash

My 1 month old has this rash all over his face and neck, and really dry skin on his scalp. Is this just hormonal from the pregnancy, or something more concerning? He is EBF and has a bath twice a week.

My EPF 4 week old has the same.

My DD has the same when she was a bit older, it wasn’t anything sinister and passed with a touch of emoliant in her bathwater. I’m seeing my mid-wife today for my discharge appointment. I’ll ask her and up-date!

My DS had this and I used coconut oil on him and it cleared up within days. Just apply a few times daily and make sure your hands are clean when touching his face.

It’s baby acne, very common and nothing to worry about. Coconut oil is good.

DS, DD also had when it when she was a couple of months (can’t type and BF!)
