Random Sleeper - can’t work him out!

Is anyone else’s baby like this?

My baby is 3 months old on Thursday and he’s such a random sleeper.

He’s been going to bed between 8-9pm and wake time at 8-9am

A few weeks ago he was waking up at 1am then 5am for a bottle.

A few days ago he was waking up at 3am only.

On Sunday he slept through the night for the first time since he was born and I was so happy and thought, yes finally!

But today he’s woken up at 1am again for a bottle. He’s half asleep but guzzling it down so he’s obviously hungry as he usually he chomps on his fist and self settles. He’s not fully awake though and was very sleepy.

He pulls his legs up crying before a feed, sometimes its gas and he falls asleep but sometimes it seems out of hunger as he wakes up wanting a bottle.

Why is it so random or is this normal?

Perfectly normal. Bless him, he sounds gorgeous.

Now hes woken up again 2 hours later for a feed which he hasn’t done for a while! Bloody teasing me with the 12 hour stretch Sad

DD is 5 months old and has never had 2 nights the same. She slept through once at 3 months old.. when she was at her grandmas for the night Envy

Tonight she went to sleep at 6.45, had a dream feed at 10, woke at 12 but settled, woke at 1.30 for a feed and the has woken at 3 and 4.15 for no reason and had to be rocked to sleep (hence my posting at this time!). Last night, she slept 7-3 and 3-6.

Unfortunately, there is just no figuring them out.

I'd say it is only likely to get more erratic once you get to four months - sorry Grin

But it does settle down again after that and become a bit more predictable, so there is hope!

I use the awesome babies app to track my baby's naps, sleeps and night wakes. He's 6mo and I've been using it for months but I've only just started to notice a vague pattern. It's been helpful tho, I think it was free

My DD is the same. She is 7 months now and still has no pattern at all! Each night and morning it random! Drives me bonkers lol

Sorry.. No help, just solidarity
