Bronchiolitis

My 8 week old had RSV (bronchiolitis) and a staph skin infection and we spent 6 days in hospital, on release he was better and then we had approx a good week with no nasal congestion, only to find one week on he started to get stuffy again and we were back in hospital diagnosed with his second round of bronc....we were not admitted but ended up going to hospital twice for monitoring last week, I thought he had turned a corner but tonight has alot of nasal congestion again, some subcostal recession and raised resp rate and the ongoing cough...I am concerned that he is just not able to get over this virus and bronchiolitis and worried about it leading to pneumonia...has anyone had a similar experience where the bronchiolitis nasal congestion and disturbed resp rate in addition to the cough has just carried on for much longer than the usual week that they predict it to last....
