Potty training

How old were your LO's when you started potty training them? My DD is a few weeks away from 20 months and she sometimes pulls at her nappy. Is this a sign to start her now?
Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance 😊

There's a potty-training board that would probably be better to post on

Also to potty-train they need to be able to tell you when they need to wee/poo (before they do it), and be able to pull up/down loose pants. If their communication skills aren't good enough then they're not ready (you'll just get lots of stained carpet and sofas).

A few weeks after her 2nd birthday. I highly recommend the ‘oh crap’ book. When you go to the toliet make sure she comes with you so she can watch and say ‘trousers down, knickers down’ and ‘kickers up, trousers up’ every time so we knows the routine. Start teaching her to mange getting dressed and undressed.
