Hi all need some advice, I seem to have caught quite a bad cold all congested. Should I let dad look after our 3 week newborn and distance my self as I'm scared he will catch something?? Your thoughts would be appreciated

No. The benefits of being with you far outweigh. Baby will also get a cold one day no matter what! Just follow good hygiene practices and speak with your health visitor of concerned.

No you can’t really.

No it's fine. If you're breastfeeding he will get antibodies from you to protect (in part) against the cold.

Definitely not. He needs to be close to you.

I have a 4 week old and am developing a stinking cold... I am breastfeeding and her dad works so there's no choice for us! I have bought saline nose drops for her and we are just going to have to help each other through it... Confused

When my baby was 10 days I caught an awful stomach bug, he never got it though which really surprised me. But he did breastfeed like crazy a day or so before I had it.
