Should I get my baby checked?

I was changing my baby's nappy and I use coconut oil to prevent nappy rash as it's natural etc. I was stupid enough to hold the tub of coconut oil over him while I was scooping oil out to apply on him, i then dropped the tub on his belly. It's one of those glass tubs of coconut oil, it's quite heavy. He didn't cry and I can't see any swelling/bruising yet, but I'm worried it may have hit his ribs or something? I saw where it fell and was definitely the soft part of belly but should I get him checked out? I feel like absolute shit

I'm sure he'll be absolutely fine. Im guessing it only fell a few inches.

I would say he's absolutely fine from what you've described - those bellies are so round and bouncy!

You could always have a gentle press and see if he's cries or anything?

I wouldnt have thought it hit him that hard if he didn’t even cry, keep an eye on him, maybe gently press the area as pp said, but I wouldn’t take him to the doctors unless anything changes.
