Does anybody know what wellies are called in German and/or French?

I think they may have the word for rubber in them. In French it is caoutchouc and in German it is Gummi (I think...).

bottes en caoutchouc according to my french dictionary, don't know any German though sorry.

bottes en caoutchouc is the usual term in French - it's what I'd use if I were shopping for wellies in Aigle

Thanks So far, ebay is being unhelpful though. (Dd2 has size 21 feet - thought it might be easier to search Europe than find a 2nd hand pair of 4.5s)
